Linda Louise Battin, age 73, of Cleveland, Missouri, graduated from this life to go on to her life in heaven with Jesus on July 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Pioneer Bible Baptist Church, 27000 Metcalf Avenue Louisburg, Kansas 66053. She was born January 31, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of William and Ione (McGee) Watters. Linda loved spending time with her family, her children, grandchildren, her fiancé Richard Larsen and her best friend Linda Davis. She was an amazing mom, homemaker and an exciting and fun-loving grandma. Later she worked in the healthcare industry. She worked directly with adults with disabilities and referred to them as “her guys”. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ione Watters, brothers, Mickey and Brian Watters and daughter, Holly Reynolds. Those left to honor her memory are her children, Jim (Kimberly) Battin, Denise (Timothy) Ruckey, John (Cindy) Battin, Donna (William) Land, seventeen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, fiancé, Richard Larsen and best friend Linda Davis. At times Linda had clarity of her condition and the fog that always replaced it. But she survived with clarity that God gave her grace. She never once forgot who Jesus was and what he did for her. Her grandchildren’s souls were her burden. She was a loving mom, grandma, great grandma, fiancé and friend that will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Pioneer Bible Baptist Church c/o Dengel and Son Mortuary.
