Kenneth Lee Humm

Kenneth Lee Humm was born on Monday, March 3, 1952, in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was the son of Carl and Helen (Baumstark) Humm. Ken lived in Lawrence, Kansas several years prior to moving to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas, where he made his home the past thirty years, until his death on Saturday, September 23, 2006, at the age of fifty-four years. Ken graduated from St. George High School, in Hermann, Missouri. He spent many years working in sales in the institutional food and equipment industry. The past three years, Ken has been employed with Hockenbergs, a food equipment and supply company, in Lenexa, Kansas. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Ottawa; Sacred Heart Choir; Lawrence Region Antique Automobile Club; charter member of Jayhawk Corvette Club; former member of Franklin County Historical Society; and an Eagle Scout of Boy Scouts of America. Ken was a devoted husband and loving, supportive father. Ken was so proud of his family. He was a classic car enthusiast who participated in many shows. He was also a concession vendor at many events, where he greatly enjoyed visiting with his many friends. On September 4, 1976, Ken was united in marriage with Barb Felts in Lawrence, Kansas. She survives of their home. Ken is also survived by his parents, of Hermann, Missouri; son, Andrew, and daughter, Sara, both of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Page of United Arab Emerits; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Maureen Humm of Green, Ohio; sister, Diana Cleaver of Leavenworth, Kansas; father-in-law and wife, Delbert Felts and Janet Angell; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Pam and Mike Patrick, Janet and Greg King; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Glenna Felts, and brother-in-law, Larry Cleaver. SERVICES: A Funeral Mass will be held from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2006. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Humm after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Dengel & Son Mortuary, where a Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday followed by a family visitation at 7:30. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Andrew and Sara Humm Education Fund, Franklin County Cancer Foundation, Midland Hospice or Sacred Heart School, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
