Ida L. “Tootsie” Lang, 88, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Rock Creek of Ottawa. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 15, 2021, at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Ida was born March 23, 1933, in Pomona, Kansas, the daughter of William Edward and Pearl Lucille (McCurdy) Lang. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident, lifelong homemaker and member of Faith Lutheran Church. Tootsie loved taking care of her pet dogs and cats. She enjoyed bird watching, especially Hummingbirds, and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, dressing up and wearing jewelry, and beautiful flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother George Lang. Survivors include a sister Dorothy M. Rodgers of Ottawa; many nieces and nephews including Butch Rodgers (Sandra) of McLouth, Kansas, Judy Van Fleet (Gary) of Ottawa, and Keith Rodgers (Jeanie) of Eudora, Kansas. The family suggests memorial contributions to Franklin County Cancer Foundation or Prairie Paws Animal Shelter c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
