Hazel L. Burgess

Hazel L. Burgess age 90, Stilwell, KS passed away October 12, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Overland Park, KS. She was born July 16, 1927 in Bucyrus, KS the daughter of Jacob Harrison Cohee and Josie Ivonne Nelson Cohee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Robert (Bob) Burgess, her children: Glenna Kay Ward, Robert Allen (Chub) Burgess and Joan Anita Burgess and a grandson. She is survived by a sister, a sister-in-law, a daughter-in-law, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Aubry Cemetery in Stilwell, KS. The family requests no flowers, but instead suggests that contributions be made to Prairie Paws Animal Shelter, 3173 Highway K68, Ottawa, KS 66067 or C/O Dengel & Son Mortuary, Louisburg, KS.
