Gloria D. Vallier, age 89, of Kansas City, Missouri, died Monday, February 27, 2012, in Merritt Island, Florida. She was born on Thursday, December 28, 1922, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the daughter of Vernon Jacob Berger and Hilda Christine (Quigley) Berger. She has been a resident of Florida since 2008, moving from Kansas City, Missouri, where she lived for forty-three years. Gloria graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, Kansas. She worked for many years at a drug store and then was a school bus driver for thirteen years for Harmon’s Bus Company, which she loved. She then began another career with Internal Revenue Service and was with them for twelve and one-half years, retiring in 1980. She and her husband were able to travel and enjoy life. On Saturday, August 9, 1941, Gloria was united in marriage with Lloyd H. Vallier in Iola, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1996. She is survived by her: Daughter- Mary L. (Vallier) Raucci of Merritt Island, Florida Sister-Catherine Hall of California Sister-Julia Reynolds and her husband, Layne, of Indiana Brother-David Berger and his wife, Joan, of West Virginia Grandson-Joseph Raucci and his wife, Emily, of Tavares, Florida Grandson-Robert Raucci and his wife, Cathy, of Dallastown, Pennsylvania Grandson-David Raucci and his wife, Stacey, of Port St. John, Florida Gt. Grandchildren-Mary, Michael, Matthew and Sarah She is preceded in death by her: Parents-Vernon and Hilda Berger Husband-Lloyd Vallier Brother-Donn Berger Brother-Delbert Berger Brother-Junior Berger Brother-Richard Berger Sister-Jeanette Concer SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. Saturday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 2:00 to 3:00 Saturday afternoon.
