Glenda Sue Williams, 74, of Hillsdale, Kansas, passed away on February 4, 2022, in her home. She was surrounded by family in her final hours. Glenda Sue was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on January 11, 1948. She spent her career working for Johnson County in the housekeeping department at the Johnson County Court House for 35 years. At the county, she made many beautiful relationships and her presence has been missed since her retirement. Her favorite pastimes, when healthy, were cooking, reading her Bible, and listening to gospel music on her record player. Due to her generosity, any time that Glenda would cook for herself and her family, she made plenty to send to her neighbors and loved ones. Above all, Glenda enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair and spending time visiting with her family. Glenda was preceded in death by her father, her mother, her son Theodore David, her husband Charley, and three siblings. She is survived by her two children, Joy and Michael, and four step-children. Glenda is also survived by six grandchildren, many step-grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Glenda’s siblings-Donna, Ida Jo, and Roy-survive her. They all miss her greatly and will continue to. Memorial donations are to the Wounded Warriors Project, a cause of which Glenda felt strongly and often donated. Donations can be sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, Kansas, 66071.
