RESIDENCE HISTORY: Gertrude lived in Kansas City, Kansas, from 1939 until 1972, moving to Pomona, Kansas, and to Ottawa in 1983. OCCUPATION: Gertrude was a lifelong homemaker. MEMBERSHIPS: She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Memorial Post # 5901 Auxiliary of Ottawa. MARRIAGE: On June 30, 1939, Gertrude was united in marriage with Fleetwood Swinney at Louisiana, Missouri. He preceded her in death April 24, 1982. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2003. OFFICIANT: Pastor Bruce Beatty. IN STATE: Mrs. Swinney will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Dengel & Son Mortuary to service hour, where the family will meet with friends 4 to 5:00 Saturday afternoon.
