Dustin Wayne Bryant, 38, of Kansas City, Kansas, formerly of Paola, went Home to our Lord on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 following a construction accident. His friends and family can find comfort in knowing that he won the battle. He was born on May 19, 1977 in Merriam, Kansas. Dustin attended Paola Schools through 10th grade, graduating from Prairie View High School in La Cygne in 1995. He attended K-State and Johnson County Community College, obtaining his certification in HVAC. When he was 6 years old he got his first dirt bike and rode with his Dad and their friends for many years. He enjoyed camping and boating with family in his younger years. He worked many long hours on his special 1978 Ford pulling truck and loved to play in the mud. Dustin always had a way of making others laugh and had a heart of gold. A heart that would do anything for a stranger or those he loved. A heart that would beat faster when driving an old Ford truck and skipped a few beats when a hot rod Mustang was around. The most beautiful thing about his heart was his immense love for his daughters. He is survived by his three daughters, Kennedy Ann (17), Jada Lyn (13), and Faith Elizabeth (8); parents Roger and Terri Bryant of Louisburg; sister Shauna Todd (Steven) and nieces and nephews Karsyn, Katie, Brayton and Brody of Pleasant Hill; grandmother Winnie Frazier; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that loved him. He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Rodney Bryant; grandparents Dale and Thelma Bryant and Archie Frazier Jr.; and cousins Shane and Shannon Bryant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dustin W. Bryant Memorial Fund at First Option Bank.
