Dora Lee Wilson, age 79, passed away at her home on April 25, 2016. Dora Lee was born December 10, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to Jack and Clara (Holthaus) Nicholson. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, attending Guardian Angel Grade School and Loretto Academy. On February 26, 1954, she was united in marriage to Ted Wilson. They made their home in Kansas City until moving to Hillsdale, Kansas in 1972. Dora Lee worked many years for Miami County Rural Water District II. She loved sports. She coached volleyball and softball many years while in Kansas City. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and was an avid bowler, once appearing on the TV Show "Bowlin" with Molen". But most of all Dora Lee enjoyed and loved her family. Dora Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ted; her mother and father; son Tony Wilson; two granddaughters, Stephanie Querry and Kalie Wilson; and two great grandsons Wyatt and Jesse DeGrande. She is survived by two daughters, Terry DeGrande (Carl) and Robbin Wilson; sons, Gregg Wilson (Staci) and Nick Wilson, all of Paola; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Hospice.
