Brenden Kirk Clary, age 25, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Ottawa, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, April 14, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary – Louisburg, 1 Aquatic Dr., Louisburg, Kansas 66053. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 15, 2023, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place after the service at the Louisburg Cemetery.
Brenden was born on October 30, 1997, in Ottawa, Kansas. He was the son of Kelli (Burgoon) Woolsey (Louisburg) and Dustin Clary (Ottawa). He grew up in Louisburg and attended Louisburg Areas Schools, K-10. He worked for Price Chopper as a department manager.
Brenden had an infectious smile that would light up any room. He loved his family and friends fiercely. He was a loving, kindhearted soul, that always made sure others were taken care of and knew that they were loved. His sense of humor, although sometimes ornery, could always make anyone smile. He loved cheering on his Kansas City Chiefs, and he had a great love for music. During Brenden’s years at Louisburg High School, he was active in and loved being a part of the Louisburg High School Wildcat Marching Band where he played the trombone. The highlight of being involved with this wonderful group of kids was participating in the Veteran’s Day parade in New York City in 2013. His greatest accomplishment was successfully earning his Kansas State High School Diploma from the Paola Adult Education Center in June of 2020.
Brenden is survived by his parents, Kelli Woolsey (Louisburg) and Dustin Clary (Ottawa), four siblings, Caden French (Louisburg), Kayla Woolsey (Louisburg), Isaiah Messick (Lawrence) and Dayne Clary (Ottawa), maternal grandparents, Roger (Reva) Burgoon (Louisburg), paternal grandmother, Sandi King (Ottawa), uncles, Jesse Burgoon (Louisburg), Shawn Crossley (Louisburg), T.J. Barber (Ottawa) and Brandon Clary (Ottawa), aunts, Erin Gipson (Ottawa) and Kodi Crane (Lawrence).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made payable to Dengel & Son Mortuary, to help with the cost of funeral expenses. Memorials can be mailed to Dengel & Son Mortuary, PO Box 669, Louisburg, Kansas 66053.
