In most areas of the
county, state or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the
casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries require that you have such a container so
that the grave will not sink in. Either a grave liner or a burial vault will satisfy these
requirements. A vault provides protection for the casket and prevents the grave from
sinking while a grave liner is designed only to prevent sinking of the grave. Vaults
are primarily made in two different materials, concrete and steel. While Dengel
& Son Mortuary offers both concrete and steel, our primary product is steel
vaults. We feel that steel vaults are a superior product at a comparable price to
