Grass Markers
- -
Designed to pay tribute to your loved one in a quiet and subtle way,  these flat grass markers can be set on top of the lawn or set flush (even with ground level).  They are the perfect choice for parks and cemeteries that restrict the use of above ground monuments.   Skilled craftsmen take extra care selecting, cutting and carving the art and lettering from the type of granite you have chosen.

Bevel-top Markers
-  This type of memorial is also flat and low to the ground. It  is a subtle way to pay tribute to your loved one.  Bevel top markers have a  1 1/2" bevel from the back to the front of the memorial, allowing the lettering to be read easier a short distance from the grave.

Wedge Memorials -
This type of monument has a straight back, and the front of the memorial tapers down to a thick bottom giving it a wedge appearance.  Wedge type memorials pay an enduring tribute with classic design, exceptional materials and expert craftsmanship.  They may be ordered with or without a granite base. The tops and sides and back can be rough, smooth or polished. Tops can be straight, oval or serpentine in shape. Any design can be chosen and placed on this type of memorial.

Monuments -
An upright monument is the most popular type of monument with the families we serve.  It pays an enduring tribute with classic design, quality materials and expert craftsmanship.  The front and back are polished, while tops and sides are rough.  You may choose from three shapes of tops: serpentine (our most popular), straight or oval.  As an added option, tops and sides may be polished.  Any design may be chosen or created for carving into any varieties of granite shown on the granite color chart.

Varieties of Granite
( click here for granite color chart )

Cedar Rose granite, which is quarried near Ada, Oklahoma, is a fine to medium-grained granite, composed of various shades of brown to rose-colored flecks, as well as fine blue and white flecks interspersed throughout. Cedar Rose is also known as Autumn Rose Granite and is mostly uniform in appearance, although there is some difference from block to block as far as the deepness of the color.

Georgia Gray granite is quarried near Elberton, Georgia, and is a fine-grained, light-gray granite. Georgia Gray is one of the most plentiful granites in the world, which makes it one of the most economical light-colored granites, especially gray granites, tend to show water marks and also tend to darken over time.

Variegated Mahogany is quarried near Milbank, South Dakota, and is a warm, rich granite composed of medium and large sized brown, gray, black and orange flecks. Variegated Mahogany has irregularities in color and pattern, which is not a flaw in the granite, but rather the way the granite was formed.

Clear Mahogany is extracted from the same quarry as Variegated Mahogany; however, it is a clearer grade, without the variegation. The pattern is more uniform and it has fewer of the orange spects.

Rustic Rose is a Canadian granite, which is fine to medium in grain. It has an orange tint with black flecks and is somewhat variegated in that some of the orange flecks are longer than others.

Missouri Red granite comes from a quarry near Ironton, Missouri, and is a medium grained red-orange color, with various sized black mica flecks.

Dark Barre granite is the highest quality gray granite available because it is a densely packed granite. Compared to the Georgia granites, a cubic foot of Barre weighs 210 pounds, while a cubic foot of Gray granite weighs 180 pounds. Barre granite tends to be somewhat more coarse than Georgia gray granite.

Zimbabwe Black granite is imported from the continent of Africa and  is a pure black granite, suitable for diamond etching or computer-generated photo blasts. The very fine grain and uniformity of the granite gives excellent contrast to designs with frosted areas.  Skin-cut lettering with light hilite is suggested to preserve as much of the polished area as possible.

Tiffany Rose is a pinkish-orange granite, which is quarried in South Carolina. It is a fine to medium grained granite with occasional flecks of green and small specks of red. The color can vary from a clear deep coloration to a washed out look. This is a light granite, Which does not proved a lot of contrast with certain designs. This granite is primarly used for baby markers.

Buena Black comes from quarries in Pennsylvania and Virginia. It is black with random areas and amounts of white variegation throughout the granite. The quality is excellent and shows good contrast between the polished and sandblasted surfaces.

Wausau Red might well be the finest granite used in the memorialization industry. It is a hard, coarse-grained stone from Wisconsin. Its rich, red color makes it one of the most desired materials available for cemetery monuments.
